This order involved the creation of an automatic filling and capping line for a company that produces food products such as sauces and pâtés packaged in cylindrical and rectangular plastic containers with squeeze caps and built-in induction foil.
Below is a photo summarising the formats handled by the system covered by the order:

The products being packaged are food items such as sauces, pâtés and meat sauces with small pieces suspended in them, filled at a temperature of approximately 70°C.
The product is taken directly from the preparation tank by means of suction from the volumetric pump installed in the machine.
The system (photo 1) consists of a single-piece stainless steel structure and a container loading table located at the start of the line.
The dosing system is a volumetric single-pump system with a range from 50 ml to 1,500 ml and a two-way valve with a Ø 30 steel thread cutter, specially designed to correctly manage the filling of the product without dripping.

The interior of the monoblock (photo 2) consists of the dosing station with a single nozzle but with the provision already in place to integrate a second one, the automatic cap positioning pick&place and the pneumatic screwing head with a specially made chuck.

Format change operations take an average of 10 minutes, while the washing cycle can be activated directly from the machine’s PLC: all components of the dosing unit (pumps, nozzles and pipes) can also be quickly removed using clamp connections for more thorough and accurate cleaning.
At the end of the line, it is possible to connect a customer conveyor belt to insert the foil induction system on the cap included in the supply.
