Jam
Jam is a foodstuff that is made from fruit, cooked and mixed with sugar and water and, thanks to pectin, thickened. In addition to fruit pulp, it may contain puree, juice and watery extracts. The typical container for preserves is the glass jar to best preserve the nutrients of the food. Whichever dosing system is chosen, the dosing machine requires a heated hopper to perform hot dosing. Depending on the product, dosing may range from 20° C to 95° C, and above 45° C, the hopper must be insulated in accordance with current regulations. The appropriately sized hopper can be: smooth (only the containment cone) moved to keep the product mixed during dosing and/or stationary in the case of the presence of pieces of fruit, it must be moved and an auger added to avoid accumulations of fruit, thus performing uniform dosing in all packages.

CM3 Engineering’s plants, designed for jams, cover all requirements, from manual dosing to fully automatic dosing. These lines also allow fruit pieces to be passed along with the product, precisely for the production of jams with different densities and grain sizes. Semi-automatic jam filling lines are designed to do up to 600 pcs/h. Automatic jam filling lines, on the other hand, are designed to produce up to 2400 pcs/h. With our lines you can pot not only jams but also other types of products such as honey/juice etc.
