To meet the needs of a leading company in the food industry, CM3 Engineering designed and built a complete automatic packaging line for filling 1 kg PET bottles with pesto. The solution was developed to ensure high dosing accuracy, maximum reliability and continuous quality control throughout the entire production process.
The system was designed, manufactured and commissioned in approximately four months, meeting the agreed delivery schedule while providing a fully automated solution, from container feeding through to final labelling.

The line begins with an Ø 800 mm rotary accumulation table designed to feed and orient cylindrical bottles, ensuring a continuous and efficient flow of containers to the subsequent processing stations.
The bottles then pass through an automatic air cleaning station equipped with four air blowing nozzles and an automatic bottle inversion system. This station removes any impurities from inside the containers before the filling process.
Automatic blower
At the heart of the line is the filling station, equipped with two volumetric pumps and stainless steel filling nozzles. This configuration guarantees high dosing accuracy, repeatability and reliable handling of viscous products such as pesto.
The line then proceeds to a single-head heat sealing station, where a sealing film is applied and heat-sealed onto each container, ensuring safe packaging that complies with the quality standards required by the food industry.

To guarantee product safety, the line also incorporates an inline metal detector with an automatic reject system. This solution continuously monitors production and automatically removes any non-compliant containers, ensuring maximum product quality.
The capping operation is carried out by a fully automatic capping station featuring a vibratory cap feeder and orientation system. This ensures a continuous supply of correctly oriented caps and accurate capping, even at high production rates.

The final stage of the process is an automatic labelling station, designed to apply a full-wrap paper label with high positioning accuracy and an excellent finished appearance.
By integrating all processing stages into a single automated system, the customer now benefits from a compact, reliable and highly efficient packaging line that optimizes production, improves finished product quality and significantly reduces manual operations The result is a tailor-made solution combining productivity, precision and food safety while fully meeting the customer’s production requirements.
