Pesto, sauces and patés
Tomato sauce (or Ragù) is used as a dressing and can be based on tomato, minced meat or fish. Sauce can have a creamy or semi-liquid texture and it is used with pasta and other plates. Pesto is made of chopped garlic, basil and pine nuts, with olive oil and Parmesan. Paté is a mixture of cooked minced meat and fat.
